Answers to Your Most Common Questions

Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. Here, we have compiled a list of common questions regarding our ABA therapy services to provide you with comprehensive information and address any queries you may have. Our goal is to ensure transparency, clarity, and ease of access to relevant details about our therapy programs and how they can benefit your child and family.

ABA therapy offers individualized goals tailored to meet the unique needs of your child and your family. The therapy aims to address a wide range of areas, including social skills, daily living routines, communication skills, reduction of maladaptive behaviors, and fostering sibling interactions and relationships. By targeting these specific areas, ABA therapy can significantly benefit your child’s overall development and enhance the dynamics within your family unit.

Our ABA therapy provider primarily focuses on serving children between the ages of 0 to 7, which is considered the early intervention stage. However, we also provide specialized treatment plans for individuals above this age range, ensuring that therapy is tailored to meet their specific needs.

Each ABA therapy session typically lasts up to a maximum of 3-4 hours, depending on the clinical recommendations and the specific needs of your child. The session duration may also vary based on the number of staff members assigned to your child’s therapy team. The frequency of sessions will be determined based on clinical recommendations and the unique requirements of your child’s treatment plan.

Progress in ABA therapy is meticulously measured and tracked through our comprehensive online data collection system. This system allows us to capture and analyze data related to your child’s goals, interventions, and outcomes. Our team reviews this data on a weekly basis to monitor your child’s progress effectively. Additionally, we ensure open communication with families by conducting progress meetings at least once a month, where our lead therapist and/or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will discuss your child’s progress and address any questions or concerns you may have.

All our ABA therapists have successfully completed a 40-hour training program and have obtained certification as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). This certification ensures that our therapists possess the necessary knowledge and skills to provide effective ABA therapy.

The costs and fees associated with ABA therapy may vary depending on your insurance coverage and individual circumstances. We work closely with families to navigate insurance processes and determine the extent of coverage. The specific details of any additional costs or fees can be discussed during the initial intake process, allowing us to provide you with accurate and transparent information.

During the treatment authorization period, our BCBA collaborates closely with other professionals involved in your child’s care, such as school staff and speech therapists. This collaborative approach ensures that all team members are aligned with the treatment goals and working together to optimize your child’s progress. By fostering effective communication and coordination, we strive to provide comprehensive care and achieve consistency across different aspects of your child’s development.

We place great importance on parent involvement in ABA therapy. Our lead therapist and/or BCBA provide family skills training on a monthly basis to equip parents with the knowledge and techniques necessary to support their child’s progress at home. Additionally, we offer resources and guidance to address the skills taught during therapy sessions and facilitate their integration into daily routines. By actively involving parents, we create a collaborative partnership to ensure the best possible outcomes for your child.

If you find yourself needing to cancel or reschedule an ABA therapy session, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. We have a dedicated scheduling line that you can contact to inform us of the change in plans. Our team will work closely with you to accommodate the cancellation or rescheduling request to the best of our ability.

We strive to be flexible and responsive to your scheduling needs. In situations where a session is canceled, we make every effort to ensure that missed sessions are made up by our therapists. This approach ensures that the recommended treatment hours are met and continuity of care is maintained for your child.

We value open communication with our families, and we appreciate your proactive notification regarding any necessary changes to the therapy schedule. By working together, we can effectively manage scheduling adjustments while prioritizing the progress and well-being of your child.

The safety of your child is a paramount concern for us. To ensure their well-being during ABA therapy sessions, we prioritize comprehensive safety measures. Our staff members undergo handle with care training, equipping them with the necessary skills to safely manage and support your child’s needs. Additionally, we have developed crisis management and de-escalation procedures that are tailored to each individual’s treatment plan. These procedures enable our therapists to effectively address challenging situations and ensure the safety of both our clients and staff members. We maintain a high standard of safety protocols to provide a secure and nurturing environment for your child’s therapy experience.

While we currently do not offer parent training or support groups, we recognize the importance of providing support and resources to parents and caregivers. It is a service that we are actively considering and aim to incorporate in the future. Our commitment to your child’s progress extends to supporting you as parents or caregivers. We strive to provide family skills training on a monthly basis, and we are dedicated to equipping you with the necessary tools and knowledge to support your child’s progress at home.

When challenging behaviors or difficulties arise during ABA therapy sessions, we have established de-escalation procedures in place. Our highly trained therapists are equipped with effective strategies to address and manage these situations. By utilizing evidence-based techniques, our therapists work to de-escalate challenging behaviors and provide appropriate support to your child. Our approach emphasizes positive reinforcement and the teaching of alternative behaviors to replace maladaptive ones. Through consistent implementation of behavior intervention plans, we aim to foster positive change and promote skill acquisition in your child.

We understand the importance of maintaining continuity in your child’s ABA therapy. In the event that your primary therapist is unavailable, we have measures in place to ensure uninterrupted care. A lead therapist and/or a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be assigned to overlap with the new staff member. They will undergo comprehensive training on your child’s individual treatment plan to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care. This approach allows for consistent implementation of therapy goals and strategies, ensuring that your child’s progress is not disrupted.
